About Us
In 1984, Irwin H. Nelson founded New Frontier Insurance Agency in a one-story red brick building located at 3703 S. 24th St. Six years later Ritch A. Nelson joined the agency and the pair moved across the street to its current location at 3637 S. 24th St.
NFIA expanded not long after, opening a branch in Fort Calhoun at 100 S. 14th St. in 1995. Two years later, NFIA bought the Fort Calhoun Insurance Agency from the Fort Calhoun State Bank and moved their offices down the block to 108 S. 14th St. By this point Ritch Nelson was named a half partner and both offices were merged under the name New Frontier Insurance Agency of Fort Calhoun, INC.
Since then the business has continued to grow, moving once again in Fort Calhoun and expanding its coverage network. NFIAFC is licensed in both Iowa as well as Nebraska and offers a full line of insurance options from life to home to a variety of auto insurances.
